Statement of Purpose                                                                               
Mission Statement
DK Home support will provide and deliver excellent domiciliary care and related support services, providing a dignified Quality of life without bias or discrimination, within the communities and individuals it serves.
DK Home support will provide a flexible approach to caring, giving as much or as little help, for those wishing to maintain their independence in their own home.    
DK Home support’s purpose is to help and consistently provide support and care to improve our service user’s quality of life. From times such as the initial onset of their condition, a possible improvement to their medical/ social condition through to the deterioration in their condition that may finally prevent our care interventions. 
DK Home support aim to deliver a standard of excellence within the domiciliary care sector. We will do this by providing care related support services to raise the standards and quality life for those living in the community. Those who rely on support will be treated as individuals and thus receive an individual care package, with direct consolation with the family, main carer, care managers and other support services involved.
Within our service provision we are able to provide a comprehensive range of services varying from palliative care through assistance with personal care and to general domestic duties. Though a large percentage of our clients will be over the age of 65, some are younger people.
However they are all treated as individuals with different difficulties, which affect their capability to manage their life independently.Our consistent and excellence in care will be managed through our company policies and our ever gaining knowledge and experience, through our employee and development training programme.
An essential element of all DK Home support employee training, involves around confidentiality. Any particular information received by an employee from a client will not be divulged by the employee without the prior approval of that client, except where such disclosure is required by law.
Our care plans will be developed by one of our managers and all information held will remain confidential, the care plan will explain routine tasks to be undertaken by carers, at the specific times agreed. Information will be left for the client at their address, DK Home support  will ensure that all information is kept secure at all times.   
DK Home support offers the following services:·       
General Care- Assistance with personal hygiene, toileting, dressing, assistance with daily living, i.e., getting up and going to bed;· 
Assistance with bathing/showering;·       
Meals – cooked in clients own home;·       
Domestic help – housework, shopping, pension collecting, laundry, ironing and gardening;·              
Befriending and sitting services – individually tailored for content, timings and duration. 
We provide services on the following basis:
Routine visits once to four times daily; half an hour to an hour in duration;·       
Overnight stays;·       
24 hour service available·       
Flexible service as needs of clients develops;·       
Domestic services etc., from half hour to three hours duration.
Care staff
All our managers and care staff will at all times carry identification badges, clearly visible for our clients to see, they will be dressed in correct appropriate uniforms and will be aware and informed of each and every clients care plan needs.
Specialist services
Our specialist services have been developed through training and experiences and we have listed them bellow: ·       
Elderly clients with reduced physical capabilities, with early stages of dementia, Alzheimer’s etc., are cared for with dignity and respect. By experienced personnel;·       
Palliative care, clients with limited life conditions;·       
Adults with physical disabilities such as multiple sclerosis, degenerative bone diseases, epilepsy, trauma caused through incidents and learning disabilities;·       
Clients suffering with mental health problems such as depression, stress, bi-polar illness etc.; and befriending service tailored for any individual needs.     
All Care staff will be checked against the criminal records bureau they will constantly train to achieve higher standards. Presently we have achieved national vocation qualification in health and social care and will aim for all new staff to achieve the same qualifications.

DK Home support care staffs are facilitated on a rolling programme of staff development and are supported by management in means of regular staff supervision and appraisals.
In services training presently caters for catheter care, communication, stoma care, promoting continence and abusive behaviour.                                                   
Autonomy and independence
Our aim is to promote the clients independence through supervision, assistance and listening. We will plan our care directly with the client, their relatives and/ or their main carer. Every opportunity will be given to you to make decisions throughout the entire involvement of DK Home support. Our carers will carry out tasks with the client and not for the client, enabling them to keep control of their lives.                                                             
Quality assurance
DK Home support operates an integrated ‘’quality assurance” programme, client assessment and periodic client surveys. Our quality control manager review’s our client’s service at periodic times; DK Home support will ensure our quality remains high during our reviews of the care plan. Along with independent “quality audits” that are applied to ensure client satisfaction at all times, we strive to improve our services provided.
